The Bankies finally picked up a victory for the first time since they played Lochee United in the Scottish (and their first league win since November) by defeating Kilwinning Rangers 4-1 at Abbey Park. The hosts were the top team in the first half and took a one-goal lead into the break, but Budgie's half-time team talk must have worked wonders as Clydebank found themselves on level terms barely five minutes into the restart thanks to a Jacko free kick being headed in by Hailstones. Clydebank took the lead in a similar manner not long after, Jacko opting to shoot this time but his effort cracked off the post. Proctor hit the rebound towards goal but it was impressively saved, but Hailstones was on hand to finally scramble it in to put Clydebank into the lead. Kilwinning thought they should have equalised a minute afterwards but the goal was disallowed for a foul on BJ Corr from the corner kick. Andy Kenna made it three by nicking the ball from team-mate Jacko before going on a wee run and poking it past the keeper, and even Paul Allum (playing in a more advanced role) got in on the action by grabbing his second goal of the season.
Clydebank have no time to savour the victory as a home match with Renfrew looms. Bankies fans will want revenge for what happened in Renfrew at the end of November, in what was Clydebank's heaviest ever league defeat since their rebirth into the Juniors. After the Frew match the Bankies are home again on Saturday 17th, against Annbank. Two big games as the final sprint towards the end of the season is in sight - with eight games to go, the Bankies need to fight for their lives to stay up. For now, enjoy the highlights from the Kilwinning tie.
