THIAF

THIAF

It all began in February 2004, when the THIAF lads asked me to help contribute to their website and also maintain the stats. It was my first experience of website design, and it made me eager for more as I had made my own website for the following season.

CTID v1

Clydebank Till I Die - version 1

This was before I had a camcorder of course, so I basically did everything I could think of in those days - individual player ratings, counting the number of shots, corners, fouls, offsides, I even did bizarre match diagrams in a poor person's imitation of Sky Sports to help explain how the Bankies lined up. And of course my match reports were enough to put anyone to sleep for being so long and annoyingly detailed...

Battle of the West...region website

Battle of the West...region websites

For season 2005-2006 I set my sights on the entire West Region. The 'Official' West Region website, at that time, was fairly embarassing sometimes not just in presentation but also on updating. So, I decided it was time to compete - I built up a bizarre amount of sources and I was often first before the 'Official' website for fully updating the entire West Region stats. I'd like to think this encouraged the West Region to get the finger oot and try to provide supporters a more professional service - it lasted a season but it sure kept me busy!

Filming

Santa's best present!

At Christmas time during season 2005-2006 I asked Santa nicely for a camcorder, and he kindly delivered. I therefore used it to start filming the Clydebank matches. That season I was able to film memorable moments, like the Tayport games. In season 2006-2007, Clydebank Till I Die returned, the second version. As well as boring match reports, I was now providing video highlights of the games also. The team helped make sure I had something good to film as they went on to win promotion into the Super League First Division!

CTID v3

Clydebank Till I Die - version 3

Clydebank's first season as a Super League side was celebrated by myself at least with a new look - beautifully crafted by this website's host Charlie Archibald, he made me a site that ought to have belonged at the Louvre rather than online, for looking so good. Unfortunately my messy fingers went and ruined a masterpiece and it was not used to its full potential - perhaps I was afraid of messing up the website, but it still served me well during 2007-2008. I was eager to see how far I'd come, though...

And now...

...And here we are!

What you see today is the culmination of four years of...well, boredom, truth be told! Four years has passed since THIAF asked me to contribute to their site and since then I think I've out-done myself, especially with the website as it is now. This photo stream, concidentally, was the single most annoying feature I've ever encountered in website design. Which is why I'm celebrating with this - please enjoy your visit of this website, and let's hope the Bankies kick some arse in pre-season in preparation for season 2008-2009!
